Training
We are happy to announce that starting in April 2023, Benny Vandervaeren is joining us in ours stable to develop the training of our riders, with a focus on Showjumping. We have met Benny through our common long-term collaboration with the renowned international jumping trainer Jos Kumps.
Benny finished his studies in equine science in Belgium in 2003. That same year he competed at the Belgian young rider championships in Lanaken. In 2004 he started working in Jos Kumps’ stables. He has since acquired the highest training licence and has been active as a trainer on different continents.
For the last 20 years Benny has mainly focused on developing young horses and riders. He was finalist at several Belgian young horse championships and has participated at 3 world championships for young horses.
After having spend some time in the USA with Leslie Howard and Peter Lutz, Benny was hired by the CMPA in Beijing, China to train their riders in preparation of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
We have collaborated with Benny for a while, he is now available for 2 weekly lessons (Tuesday and Thursday evening) geared to jumping. This is open to riders based at our stable as well as external riders.
